Next generation, same proven results
Meet a few of the patients who are treating their obstructive sleep apnea with the Inspire V™ implant

There is growing excitement around the newest generation of Inspire® therapy from both patients and providers.
The Inspire V™ implant is an innovative advancement designed for enhanced patient comfort, a shorter, simplified procedure1-2 and more efficient patient management.
The Inspire V implant features a new integrated respiratory sensor, which eliminates the need for a separate sensing lead and allows for seamless respiratory sensing to occur inside of the implant.
The new generation implant continues to offer effective sleep apnea treatment and satisfaction – including a proven 79% reduction in sleep apnea events3 and 91% of people that say Inspire therapy is better than CPAP.4
Just ask Marie N and Robert E.
Marie and Robert both received the Inspire V™ implant and were a few of the first patients in Arizona to do so.
Meet Marie N.
Marie is a kindergarten teacher with severe obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). She struggled to stay awake after work and felt sleepy on the drive home.

A Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) machine brought little relief. But then she learned about Inspire® therapy.
She said the first few months since having the Inspire® implant turned on has been “miraculous.” Her sleep apnea episodes went down from 35 an hour to just three an hour.
“I tell everyone that I have a brand-new life, and it is remarkable,” she said. “I can’t believe all the energy I have. I’m 70. And I should be getting old, but I don’t feel old.”
Meet Robert E.
Robert is retired now. But when he learned about his moderate OSA, he was working as a global business manager.

That made using his CPAP extremely difficult as he was often on a plane and traveling in other countries.
He also rolled over often while sleeping and would sometimes accidentally break his mask, which made him wake up. So even though he slept six hours with CPAP, it was not continuous sleep.
Today, he is sleeping six-and-a-half hours a night without interruption. And his sleep apnea events went from 24 an hour to less than five an hour with Inspire therapy.
“There is a health-related reason AND an energy-related reason that came out of it. I wasn’t expecting that,” Robert said. “So, yeah, I sleep more through the entire night. It is a benefit that exceeded my expectations.”
The Inspire V implant is not only helping patients. It is benefiting providers, as well.
Dr. Ruchir P. Patel became a Vice President, Senior Medical Director at Inspire Medical Systems, Inc., in June 2025.
Dr. Patel is still a practicing sleep medicine provider who has been referring and managing patients for Inspire therapy since 2019. Since his shift to managing patients with the Inspire V implant, he’s noticed incredible results.
“I strongly believe the new sensing technology with Inspire V will lead to very positive patient outcomes,” Dr. Patel said. “The new and innovative expanded features also give sleep clinicians more flexibility and options to manage various patient types. I am very excited to offer this newest sleep apnea treatment technology to patients who qualify.”
Dr. Paul Hoff is also a Vice President, Senior Medical Director at Inspire, joining in May 2025.
Dr. Hoff is still a practicing ENT who has implanted over 300 Inspire implants since 2016. He said it brings him a lot of excitement to offer Inspire V to patients who qualify.
“As a surgeon, the elimination of the sensing lead, with a breathing sensor built into the implantable pulse generator, is a huge plus – simplifying the procedure, while added features to enhance comfort continues to build on Inspire’s mission to put patients first,” Dr. Hoff said.
