Very easy to use, particularly while traveling. We used to get two hotel rooms since my husband could not sleep when I was in the room. Now we get one room and save money!

I was looking for an alternative to CPAP in 2015. I already had a UPPP surgery many years ago which was extremely painful but not successful. While doing my research, I came across Inspire information. I could not be happier! I've had OSA for as long as I can remember, though it did not have a name when I was young. My AHI went from 55 down to under 5, which is an incredible decrease.

Interests:

My favorite thing to is spend time with family and friends. I am brushing up on my sewing skills to join an organization that accepts wedding gowns and turns them into "angel gowns" for the youngest of our angels. I also am involved with our local food pantry and in particular the Christmas Gift Program for the kids.

Why I chose Inspire therapy to treat my sleep apnea:

Inspire was the newest treatment out there in 2015. I felt very comfortable with my doctor, and he was extremely attentive to my questions and concerns. Actually, probably one of the only doctors I've seen who "heard me" and what I was going through.

Why am I a patient ambassador?

Being an ambassador evolved slowly from being asked by my docs at Jefferson to go out with them and speak at Community Health Talks and participate in some media events -including a news outlet who filmed my surgery, and weeks later, my activation. I do enjoy speaking with prospective patients. Once the patient is assured that we have no financial interest in their decision, we are able to be as open and honest with them as possible. The other thing about being an ambassador is the camaraderie that has developed between ambassadors. Many of us keep in touch outside of Inspire activities.
