Inspire therapy is so easy to use, I should have never wasted any time on mask therapy which was more time consuming and not as restful as Inspire.
My inspire implant was on April 13th, 2023. I had been diagnosed with sleep apnea approximately 10 years earlier and after a couple of years attempting to treat it with a variety of mask therapy options I stopped doing anything for it. In early 2022 I was diagnosed with a heart flutter for the first time and in response I had a sleep study which confirmed sleep apnea and I again unsuccessfully attempted to treat it with CPAP and BIPAP masks.
I heard of Inspire in the media and after research and meetings I finally had the implant. I have always been very active physically but I have also worried about not successfully treating my sleep apnea. My attempts at mask therapy often left me tired and discouraged. I now rest and sleep extremely well with the Inspire implant and its so easy to use each night without any side effects, disappointments, or regrets. I highly recommend anyone who has sleep apnea to consider the Inspire implant. The Inspire implant is much easier to use than using and cleaning a mask daily.
I enjoy working in my yard and garden. I am a retired CPA and I enjoy working in various church, civic, and community organizations.
Inspire provided me a solution to my sleep apnea with rest and the assurance that I was addressing a serious health risk I had. Besides the month after my implant when I had to refrain from golf and other strenuous activities while the surgery healed, I have had no restrictions to normal activity.
I enjoy sharing my story and how Inspire has worked so well for me. I am anxious to share my experience in case it can help friends, family, or anyone experiencing the same thing.
