There is no maintenance involved, the remote is easy to use, and my sleep studies showed significant improvement.
I got the Inspire implant on September 1, 2016. Now I do not feel tired all the time, and I sleep so much more soundly.
Volunteer with the International Non-Profit Project CURE, I am Chaplain for American Legion Post 1260 and Chaplain for the All Veteran Honor Guard Team, Ft. Logan, Denver, CO. We perform Final Military Honors for deceased Veterans and their families every Thursday.
I could not tolerate CPAP, nor an oral device prescribed to me. I had facial nerve damage after being hit by a baseball during a Colorado Rockies game and had too much pain to wear the device. After years of battling my sleep apnea, I read an article from the University of Colorado about Inspire and knew this could be the answer. I was the 7th person in the Rocky Mountain Region to receive the Inspire device.
I'm grateful for Inspire and as a retired RN, I feel a responsibility to share this wonderful therapy with anyone who might be a candidate. I love speaking with prospective patients.
