I live in Sunset, Louisiana and was diagnosed with severe OSA and idiopathic hypersomnolence in 1999/2000. I was implanted with Inspire therapy in January of 2019.

While my journey is different than others, for example, there are many surgeries to correct my OSA, and just as many commonalities with all OSA sufferers. Inspire has given me so much freedom. I was able to decannulate the tracheostomy I had for OSA and was freed all of the equipment I had to carry, making travel infinitely easier. Increased quality of sleep led to increased quality of life, and I was able to recommence driving for the first time in ten years. Being treated and thinking a little more clearly has improved my relationships which has increased my ability to enjoy life.
