Hello! My name is Jason, and I received the Inspire implant in March of 2025. I've never been able to use a CPAP machine, so getting the Inspire implant was life-changing for me!
For the first time in over 20 years, my sleep apnea is finally under control. I'm getting better sleep, and I wake up feeling rested and energetic. My husband and I have started walking every day, exercising, and eating better, and within the first six months after activation, I lost over 40lbs!
I love theater, live music, and photography. Also, I'm a manager at a home decor store, and enjoy decorating and redesigning my own home throughout the year. My husband and I are active members of our church, where we run a monthly food drive to support our local food banks.
For years, my sleep apnea was untreated because I couldn't use a CPAP machine. It would keep me awake all night and actually make me feel sick. In fact, the last time I tried to use a CPAP, it inflated my stomach and GI tract with air, and triggered an intense anxiety attack that lasted many hours. It was awful. After that, my doctor told me to give up on CPAP for good and suggested I consider Inspire. I was thrilled to discover a different way to treat my sleep apnea. Getting started, I had very high expectations, but my results have been far better than I could have hoped!
When I got the Inspire implant, I would have felt more confident if I had spoken with someone who already had it.
