Hello, my name is Ernest “Rex” Partlow, just call me Rex. I had my Inspire implant Oct 21, 2020 and was activated Nov 21, 2020. I have had sleep apnea since mid 2008 and used and fought with every style of CPAP mask ever made. I was even using an elastic chin strap around my head to try and help keep it on.
Interests:
I love biking on my Catrike recumbent 3 wheel on paved trails and back roads. I love to play golf, relax while listening to the radio and I enjoy creating primitive yard and home art from recycled pallets and scrap lumber.
Why I chose Inspire therapy to treat my sleep apnea:
I was listening to the radio one day in my workshop and an Inspire Sleep commercial came on. It intrigued me so much I immediately ran in the house and pulled it up on internet. I found a local doctor that was performing the surgeries and scheduled a consultation appointment. Within the next 4-5 months I had a new sleep study, my DISE, the implant surgery and then activation.
Why am I a patient ambassador?
I am Patient Ambassador because I want to share my amazing success with others. It truly has changed my life, I don’t need daily naps to get through the day. I have more energy now for my biking, golf and our travels around the US as full-time RVers visiting national parks, monuments and places I had only seen pictures of in magazines.
