Domestic and international travel, Rotary club, gardening (if that is what you call what we can accomplish plant-wise in our 'rock garden' of a yard), visiting and socializing with my friends and family, cooking, walking, reading, re-exploring the Texas Hill Country after decades of living away, and being a primary care giver to five feral cats; now all spayed and neutered, and one hard-headed 14+ year old schnauzer named Emma.

I moved back to Texas in 2021, and while recovering from shoulder surgery and sleeping in a recliner in our living room, my sisters, with whom I live, told me I was snoring loudly and appeared to be holding my breath. I immediately contacted a local doctor, who prescribed a CPAP machine for my treatment. Within a week, I realized I had no tolerance for this confining mask technology, let alone the burden of keeping it clean and traveling with it. I knew there had to be something better, so I began looking into new technologies and that’s when I found Inspire!

It is a commitment that I made to myself and to the memory of my husband to tell as many people as possible about Inspire therapy and to let others know that the Inspire device is an effective treatment for sleep apnea. When diagnosed decades ago, my husband was told that not treating his sleep apnea could cause heart issues. Through my work as a Patient Ambassador, if I can save one person's life, what a gift that would be!
