Mr. Herbert has over 25 years of experience in new business development including over 10 years at Medtronic, Inc. and the last 3 years at Inspire Medical Systems. He has held management positions in product development, clinical research, regulatory, sales, marketing and healthcare reimbursement. Mr. Herbert has been part of the Inspire business since 1996, assuming management of the venture in 1998. With extensive experience in venture development, as well as his detailed knowledge of the Inspire system, OSA disease state and the sleep diagnostic and therapeutic market; Mr. Herbert is well positioned to lead the Inspire organization. Mr. Herbert has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from North Dakota State University and an M.B.A. from the University of St. Thomas.
Mr. Ban has worked in the medical device field for over 20 years in a variety of marketing, business development, sales management and clinical project management roles. Prior to joining Inspire, Randy was Vice President of Global Marketing for the Cardiac Rhythm Management Division of Boston Scientific (Formerly Guidant Corporation). Randy built and led high performing sales teams during his tenure as a Sales Director for Guidant Corporation. He started his career in the Medical Device Business Development Group at Eli Lilly and Company. Mr. Ban has a B.S. in Marketing and an M.B.A. from Indiana University.
Mr. Christopherson has over 18 years of active implantable device and therapy development experience, including 15 years at in Medtronic, Inc. His program management experiences include: implantable neurological stimulators, implantable sensors and sensor leads, remote device monitoring and telemetry, and therapy development via human and animal clinical studies. He has 30 granted U.S. patents, with an additional 22 patent applications in process. Mr. Christopherson has a B.S. in Physics from Bethel University and a B.S. and M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Minnesota.
Dr. Ni has over a decade of experience in the medical device industry. Prior to joining Inspire, he led a technology development program of a neuromodulation therapy targeting cardiovascular diseases at the Cardiac Rhythm Management Division of Boston Scientific (Formerly Guidant Corporation). Quan also initiated early concepts for implanted sleep apnea solutions at Guidant, and led teams focusing on concept feasibility, business development, technology development and transfer. Dr. Ni holds 40 granted patents and has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed publications. He has a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Jiantong University in Shanghai, China, an M.S. in Bioengineering from the University of California, San Diego and a Ph.D. in Bioengineering from the University of Utah.
